CONTROL AND INFORMATION SYSTEM |
|
The company APEL® has been working in the field of visualization and control of technological processes since its foundation – since the year 1991.It is possible to use the control and information system QIRS, that is developed in the company APEL®, or drivers and data libraries for connection from other systems to control the technology and the mosaic panels, that are used as a periphery of the control complex.

QIRS system characteristics |
The base of the software is Network Operating System QNX with graphic upgrade QNX Photon. The form and the operating of the graphic upgrade are very similar to the Microsoft Windows.

Dispatching mosaic panel – configuration SW |
The software is determined to the configuration of the dispatching mosaic panel controlled by means of the serial data line. The configuration SW includes tables of signals addressing, state tables and a set-up of the main operative parameters. The application is made for a 32-bit operating system (Windows 95/98 a Windows NT) and has no increased HW requirements.
The most important part of the configuration is the creation of the signal tables and state tables that are stored in the database format dBase IV. The application with this database format communicates by means of query language SQL and the access is established through the interface ODBC. A special driver, that ensures data administration in dBase IV format, is a part of the SW installation. The signal table may include up to 2048 output and 255 input signals. Components, which make work easier, are incorporated into the application.

Among these components are:
simple, well-arranged and intuitive operating,
"Wizards" for multiple insertion of signals,
check statement about the configuration, where it is possible to use differently defined criteria (filters) using query language SQL.

Essential parts of the application are markers that are determined to monitor logical and HW addresses.
|
It includes full addresses detecting, a conflict addresses diagnosis and detecting of the signals that include the given addresses. All important data are transferred to the PSK module after the completion of configuration tables. It is possible to reread the data from the PSK module. The configuration SW also enables to provide important operating commands and parameters setting such as:
- system restart, signal table reset, state table reset, setting of the communication timeouts,
- shine intensity setting, the mosaic panel switching on and switching off, date and time setting, setting of the signal rate,
- providing of the basic test of the panel functionality.

The configuration SW is supplemented continuously with further functions and with user-friendlier interface in the same way as the qualities of the PSK module are extended.

Dispatching mosaic panel and connection to other visual systems
|
The communications protocol APEL-XL (its description is free accessible) is used for the connection of the dispatching mosaic panel to another system.
DLL data libraries were made especially for environment Control Panel and Control Web for systems of mosaic panel operating (the type with the PT card or with the PSK module). The user can take advantage of this approved system; its concept results from the architecture of its precursors. Control Panel and Control Web are complemented with the functions for the mosaic panel operating, such as tests of devices on the panel, shine intensity change, possibility to monitor the state of the communication with mosaic panel, mosaic panel switching on and switching off, collection of the states of contacts of controls that are installed right on a mosaic panel.
